A serial killer arrives at Townsville, targetting criminals and leaves behind a drawing of a speckled buttercup after each killing. Coincidentally, eighteen-year-old Buttercup has chronic nightmares of the killings, eventually suffering from extreme insomnia. She also becomes obsessed in finding the killer, feeling a connection between her and the murders. But things just get worse when she suddenly goes missing...
